Talking Points vs. Realty

On paper, you can treat Medicare like the hypothetical rich uncle who is going to leave me enough money to buy a Rolls Royce. But only on paper. In real life, you can't get blood from a turnip, and you can't keep on getting money from a Medicare program that is itself running out of money.
Once again Thomas Sowell explains a complex problem in simple terms without getting lost or losing his reader.
The fraud that Barack Obama is trying to foist on the American people can really be summed up in the deceit listed above, along with the gimmick of comparing 6 years of costs to 10 years of taxes to pay for it and pretending that means it saves us money. Understating the true costs and claiming to pay for half of it with money that is being counted twice - that is the fraud currently being marketed by the king of lies.
It is no surprise that Barack Obama is the first President publicly proclaimed a liar on the floor of congress. No one has ever equalled his ability to lie with conviction. Period. No President before him has such contempt for the American people that they would try. Obama has been caught in lie after lie. Yet as Thomas Sowell points out, the MSM never notices.
You have to wonder why.

You must have missed it when George Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Now we're in the eighth year of a war which has cost us hundreds of billions of dollars and is into the trillions when you count long term care and benefits for our troops.
Obama is no saint, but taxes aren't the evil you make them out to be. If we properly taxed our citizens maybe we could pay for these programs. But maybe you would rather us drop Medicare completely. You have a voice with your congressman but no voice with a corporation. Tell me again why medical care is better off privatized?
You must have missed it when I started slamming Bush for his many mistakes in the Iraq war. You stupid knee jerk liberals who think that libertarians like me bought in to the progressive policies of Bush always crack me up. Almost as much as the hate you spew at a man who agrees with most of your domestic agenda. I have slammed Bush for his spend like a drunken sailor efforts as much as I have slammed the waste of Democrats. You really need to stop thinking you know what I believe and pay attention... assuming you have the brains to pay attention.
Taxes ARE the evil I make them out. Medicare is a huge waste of money. You really think the arrogant congressmen and women care about you? How stupid are you?
To say you have no voice with a corporation proves you are totally ignorant of the entire concept of competition based free enterprise. Big corporations ARE evil. However the Wall Street barrons love the Democrat party, not the Republican party. Why do you think they give 80% of their contributions to Democrats? Back when Wall Street was doing funding for small companies they were a force for good. Today they are not capitalism and are a force for evil. They are crony capitalists who buy off corrupt Democrats to rig the game to allow them to represent nothing but big monopolies. Obama loves them which is why he kept the two most corrupt Bush appointees, Geithner and Bernanke.
That is NOT free enterprise. Big business eliminates jobs... or ships them overseas. Small business is the engine of free enterprise and creates more than 80% of the jobs in our nation. Health care is overwhelmingly small business, small doctor groups, and small health clinics. There is competition. Which is why the quality is high and by and large the costs are not as far out of control as they could be. Certainly Obamacare will drive costs through the roof and destroy the quality.
It is the huge free of competiton insurance companies who are driving costs higher right now. Making an even bigger insurance company, such as the Democrat boondoggle AIG, is not the anwer.
I will trust my doctor before I will trust your goon dominated IRS solution every time. You are aware that Obama has chosen the IRS to administer his program, right?
