Obama Hates White People
And Wants Them To Die

by Rick Moran - January 31, 2009 - American Thinker

With nearly 1.5 million people in the mid-west without power during a cold snap, what other possible reason is there that this new "competent" administration and FEMA would be failing so spectacularly in helping in this natural disaster?

It's got to be that Obama hates white people and wants them to die!

Of course, I am just aping what lefty blogs were saying about Bush less than 24 hours after Katrina's hurricane winds stopped blowing ...

Here we are 5 days after the storm ended and still no FEMA? I demand a Congressional investigation. And let's get all the anchors and media people down here pronto. People's lives are at stake.

Great article. Great point. Yet it will mean nothing because it is not being hammered again and again by the MSM like the lies about our previous President. They got the head of FEMA before it was over. Yet no one is even asking for Obama's FEMA head. No one in the press is complaining. I bet there is not 1/4 of our nation that even recognizes what hypocrisy there is in the way Katrina was distorted, or the way that the huge ice storm in the Midwest is being ignored.

One day before the screaming started against Bush versus five days with not a peep against Obama.

I also bet that few are going to take note of the fact that Obama has displayed far more indication that he is a honkey hating bigot whereas Bush never displayed he hated blacks. That too is ignored by the MSM.

Michael Steele Becomes
First Black RNC Chairman

by Liz Sidoto - January 31st, 2009 - Yahoo! News

The Republican Party chose the first black national chairman in its history Friday, just shy of three months after the nation elected a Democrat as the first African-American president. The choice marked no less than "the dawn of a new party," declared the new GOP chairman, former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele. Republicans chose Steele over four other candidates, including former President George W. Bush's hand-picked GOP chief, who bowed out declaring, "Obviously the winds of change are blowing."

I like Michael Steele. During my involvement in running against G.K. Butterfield for Congress, I met Michael at numerous campaign events. I was always impressed with him. He is an articulate, intelligent, likable yet macho guy. He reminded me of John Wayne.

However I am troubled by the number of people who call Michael a moderate. What does that mean?

In our discussions of issues I never found him to be that moderate. More practical and open to new concepts than many in the party, he still seemed to me to always be a solid libertarian-conservative in the mold of Ronald Reagan. In contrast, I think any intellectual discussion of George W. Bush's domestic policies would have to find Bush a big government socialist. Yet the press always labelled Bush as extreme right wing. At least one obvious reaction to the Bush label is that whoever is doing the labelling in the press really does not have a clue.

However I don't believe a few single issue focused discussions like the ones I had with Michael can give you broad insight into someones overall views you really need to know them well, so Michael Steele makes me nervous. Actually Michael doesn't make me nervous, but the insistence by so many that he is "moderate" does. I am not a moderate and do not think moderates are prepared to defend liberty and individual freedom as vigorously as we need it defended at this critical point in our history.

Michael certainly made me angry with his initial comments on Barack Obama's Presidency. A couple of left of center (but not extreme) appointments seemed to satisfy Michael that Obama was not himself extreme. Has Michael not read anything about the Saul Alinsky method of using democracy to create a socialist state by deception and deceit? Does he really think that a man who taught this method would not use it to con his adversaries? It seemed to me that Michael was conned by Obama.

This initial tendency to be gulled by Obama does not make me feel comfortable that Michael is the man we need leading the battle to rid our party of the George W. Bush socialism. It concerns me that Michael may not understand the key issues America faces in the coming years. It concerns me that we are doomed to have two socialist parties dominating America.

If that is where Michael is leading, this was a horrible choice.

Stimulus Package Will Stimulate … Inflation

by Dick Morris - January 29th, 2009 - DickMorris.com

The central economic calamity of the next five years may not be the current depression, high unemployment or economic contraction. It may, instead, be inflation coming in 2011 and 2012, which will be high in the double digits, caused by the massive increase in the money supply caused both by the stimulus package and the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) bailouts.

Though Morris is frequently wrong in his predictions, he has a track record that is way better than 50%. This prediction is based on a pretty accurate reading of history. The old cliche that those who do not understand history are condemned to repeat it is well known and itself a pretty accurate summation of current reality.

The worst consequences of the Carter years took until 1983 to work through. Back then Democrats loved to insist that the recession that Reagan inherited was all his fault. In reality he ended the recession in record time by being a President who truly understood what we had to do to get America working again. He focused on cutting taxes and reducing the oppressive bureaucracies' focus on small business.

I guarantee that Democrats will never blame Obama for the consequence of his actions, just as they never blamed Carter for the consequence of his actions. It will take a few years for the disasters to build, and it will take much longer to end them (if they ever are ended) than the Democrats will ever accept. When the voters turn to Republicans, I wonder what Republicans will do? It appears that Republicans are turning to socialism as well, not the belief in free markets that Reagan advocated.

The only real question is not whether the inflation is coming, but whether America has the will to return to free markets after it appears. Free markets will cease to exist under Obama and we are clearly headed into being the same kind of failed socialist nation that Russia and France have become.

For the greatest nation on earth to abandon its free market strengths is not just the height of idiocy, but a truly sad commentary on the growing stupidity of mankind.

The Game Changer

by George Soros - January 28th, 2009 - Financial Times

How could Lehman have been left to go under? The responsibility lies squarely with the financial authorities, notably the Treasury and the Federal Reserve. The claim that they lacked the necessary legal powers is a lame excuse. In an emergency they could and should have done whatever was necessary to prevent the system from collapsing. That is what they have done on other occasions. The fact is, they allowed it to happen.

The absolute totalitarian instincts it takes for a man to write that not having legal powers is "a lame excuse", says everything that you need to know about this writer, George Soros. Soros is an extreme liberal who believes passionately in the power of the state. He also believes passionately in what is called 'crony capitalism', the idea that people can make huge profits by working with government power and special rules for the rich.

Soros does not believe that his huge wealth, gained not by creating wealth as true free enterprise does but by manipulating currency markets, should be subject to the redistribution of wealth that he advocates for everyone else.

It is a very insightful article.

Republicans Must Abandon Wall Street

Updated 2/1/2009

Wall Street has abandoned free enterprise and free markets and become a government controlled scam! If you doubt that just consider the following.

Do you understand Wall Street's new invention called "derivatives"? I originally planned to include a short description here but finally came to the conclusion that no description that helped non-experts to understand them could be useful in the space I could allocate in the article. It would take a book.

Do you understand Wall Street's new invention called "credit default swaps"? I originally planned to include a short description here but finally came to the conclusion that no description that helped non-experts to understand them could be useful in the space I could allocate in the article. It would take a book.

Do you understand Wall Street's new invention called "collateralized mortgage obligations"? I originally planned to include a short description here but finally came to the conclusion that no description that helped non-experts to understand them could be useful in the space I could allocate in the article. It would take a book.

The reason is all are intended to be so confusing that no one can follow them. You have to take them on trust ... and that allows Wall Street to scam the gullible.

Ditto for the consequences of the Robert Rubin (Clinton's Treasury Secretary) requested legal changes during the 90's breaking down the barriers between insurance, securities and banks to create globally competitive "investment banks", the abandonment of the"up-tick" rules on shorting stocks and bonds, the oppressive reporting requirements and imbecilic "mark-to-market" requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley, and the measurement rules added by Clinton to the "Community re-investment act" which allowed for criminalizing any bank for failure to lend to any minority (sold under the rubric of "affordable housing" while in reality it vastly increased home prices so no one could aford them until the bubble burst).

All of these complex and confusing changes to our business world were welcomed by Wall Street but did nothing to increase the creation of national wealth. All of these rule changes allowed Wall Street to maximize their profits through confusing and useless scams using leveraged profits that no one could understand. I just found a new term to actually describe this phenomenon. It is called crony capitalism, "an allegedly capitalist economy in which success in business depends on close relationships between businessmen and government officials", in reality socialism. [From a post by George Walton in The New Republic]

Again and again for the last 20 years Wall Street has become more and more the agent of government goals with government rules that allowed for huge profits based on leveraged profits that no one could intelligently predict. It stopped being the process by which new businesses were created to aid in the wealth creation market process of satisfying the needs of people. The end result? The Internet bubble, the housing bubble, the stock market bubble, the banking industry bubble. Each bubble has collapsed in time, as bubbles always have. Each time government has bailed out the failures. Each time the government solution has been greater and greater control of our economy. And each of these controls has resulted in less and less wealth creation capability within our nation while government raised taxes on the productive elements of society. Wall Street though keeps finding ways to take all the profits for themselves by creating complex scams. However they are protected by crony capitalism.

The Republican Party has not yet accepted that Wall Street is no longer a part of the Free Market engine of our nation. Wall Street today is dominated by global monetary manipulators like George Soros and Bernie Madoff, socialists and Democrats all, who see themselves as partners with government bureaucrats in the allocation of our nation's wealth, crony capialists. In most cases, they make sure that the wealth goes to them by government rules that fatten the pockets corporate 'managers' rather than to those who create the wealth. Or they simply break the law as Soros recommends and Madoff did whenever the rules are inconvenient. Wall Street has become the enemy of free markets and thus the enemy of those in the Republican Party who believe in free enterprise and the necessary 'rule of law' which underpins ethical implementation of this philosophy.

Capitalism has been co-opted by Wall Street as a term that describes their government dictated control of business and thus it no longer represents free markets. In fact capitalism today really means crony capitalism, the opposite of free markets. That is why Wall Street endorses the monetary policy insanity of the current Fed zero interest rates on loans to banks. No better proof exists that monetary policy has become idiocy than the idea of the Fed loaning our money at zero rates as a necessary monetary policy to support the government abuse of fiscal policy. Or even better, loaning money that does not even exist to the Federal Government by buying Treasury Notes. Does no one understand this is government fraud on the people that has always existed when the government simply "prints" money? What else is this?

Unless and until the Republican Party stops defending this new evil in the world, a socialism co-opted Wall Street, we will not be able to return to being a party that represents individual freedom. Individual freedom cannot exist where Wall Street ends competition and fattens profits for huge non competitive conglomerates any more that it can exist where government is doing the same to pick winners and losers. Free markets require real competition, not the "mergers and acquisitions" based elimination of competition that has become the primary focus of Wall Street. Combined with its creation of scam instruments like derivatives, CDS and the laundry list above as its secondary focus to con people out of their money, Wall Street has ceased being free enterprise. Wall Street is simply a scam.

In response to Wall Street abandoning free markets, Republicans must abandon the 'crony capitalism' of Wall Street!

Lies, Damn Lies, And Pure Stupidity

Author's Title - His Winter of Discontent

by
William Tucker - January 29th, 2009 - American Spectator

Gore began by asserting that wind and solar fuels are "free forever" and therefore ready to do the job. As an example, he cited "concentrated thermal solar" that uses mirrors to focus desert sunlight, turning it into electricity. He cited a recent Scientific American article, saying, "If we took an area of the desert 100 miles on each side, we could provide ourselves with all the electricity we need." He wants to do it in the next ten years.

"Free forever"? If they were free, do you think that anyone would be opposed? If they were free what would be the need of huge tax breaks to get anyone to consider them? Plus Gore has miscalculated the size of his desert sun garden. It will take nearly five times the area he estimates to fulfill our needs during the day and that still ignores the following mistake.

Solar is only available part of the day. What do you do for power at night? Do you have any clue how expensive it is to store the huge quantity of power needed for the night when solar is not available? Try buying a battery if you want a clue. That will take another area five times Gore's estimate to create the energy to be stored for use at night! This article lists just a few of the outrageously expensive construction projects, all with horrible side effects, which would be needed to rely on solar.

Solar and wind power are outrageously EXPENSIVE! They always have been and they always will be. Al Gore never stops lying about anything to do with global warming.

CO2 is NOT a "greenhouse" gas that creates global warming. Man is not causing CO2 to increase. At the greatest period of creating new forms of life in this planet's history CO2 concentrations were at 7,000 PPM versus today's 385 PPM. At the beginning of one of our worst Ice Ages CO2 concentrations were 4,400 PPM. If CO2 causes warming and 385 PPM is a problem, how did that ice age ever get started? The Gore premise is simply all lies and stupidity. He knows that.

In another article on the same subject, The Amazing Story Behind The Global Warming Scam
by John Coleman there is a detailed history of how this whole "man is causing global warming" movement started and evolved. The conclusion by Coleman is the same as my conclusion, "Global Warming. It is the hoax. It is bad science. It is a high jacking of public policy. It is no joke. It is the greatest scam in history."

The stupidity Gore is counting on is the stupidity of people who believe his lies.

Liberal Victimhood: A Game
You Can Play at Home

by Ann Coulter - January 28th, 2009 - Human Events

When Gov. David Paterson ended the Kennedy soap opera by appointing Democratic congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand, her Democratic colleague, Rep. Carolyn McCarthy, blanketed the airwaves, threatening to challenge Gillibrand in the next election because of her NRA-approved stand on guns.

McCarthy explained, "My voice is for the victims."

Ann Coulter has nailed the Democrat Party with her new book. Victimhood has been sold by the socialist teacher's unions to two generations of Americans. Though it does not mean all Americans subscribe to this silly whining philosophy, it does provide the margin that got Obama 2% more votes for President than Bush got four years before. In a democracy that has abandoned its Republic based constitution, that is all it takes.

This allows us to agonize over the HORROR of 7% unemployment as if it equals the 19% unemployment rate that FDR had 10 years after he was made President. FDR was "great" according to liberals yet he repeatedly killed economic recovery by his stupid socialist (and as Mussolini bragged, fascist) programs of failure. Towards the end his own Treasury Secretary Morgenthau lamented "We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work ... After eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started ... And an enormous debt to boot!"

There will be times in the future when people will look back at today and wonder what caused the panic. It is sad, but the exeggerated panic is leading to actions whose economic results will make today look like great times. Not just good, great.

The Democrat glorification of victims, and the exaggeration of their plight, is an evil method of manipulation dedicated to gaining undeserved political power.

James Hansen's Former Boss,
On James Hansen

by Lawrence Solomon - January 28th, 2009 - Financial Post

James Hansen of NASA's GISS has been the single-most influential scientist in the world in promoting the view that global warming represents a catastrophic risk to the planet. His former supervisor at NASA, Dr. John S. Theon, now publicly disagrees with Hansen's work. In the correspondence below from earlier this month, Theon dismisses the validity of Hansen's work, charges that some scientists manipulated climate change data, and formally joined the ranks of the deniers.

Without Hansen to quote, Al Gore would actually be quite limited in his chicken little announcements of imminent global panic. Hansen has been the leading voice of apocalyptic doom over global warming. In fact, it is his only justification for being considered a climate leader. His other work is pitiful and filled with equally questionable proclamations.

The Day America Lost the War
On [Isamo-fascism]

by Ben Shapiro - January 28th, 2009 - Townhall.com

[Barack Obama] stated that his job is to speak for the Muslim world, defending them from Americans’ negative perceptions: “And my job is to communicate to the American people that the Muslim world is filled with extraordinary people who simply want to live their lives and see their children live better lives.”

No, Mr. President. Your job is not to communicate to the American people that the Muslim world harbors us no ill will. That is their job. The Muslim world must demonstrate with its words and actions that they do not wish America replaced with an Islamic state. They must demonstrate that they do not support terrorism against America and our allies.

Your job is to protect and defend the United States of America. That is your sworn duty.

If anything exemplifies why I am depressed and demoralized and fear for my country it is the new President making his first foreign interview an apology to our enemies on a TV network that supports our demise. Our young people are enthusiastically following a man who argues against everything that built the nation which currently gives them so much freedom and provides them with such an easy life. Barack Obama is a global socialist, and that movement has made it very clear the destruction of America is what it seeks. Obama is an active participant in that goal.

He also proved that he does not have a clue about the middle east. This is exemplified by his comments claiming that 30 years ago we had a good relationship of mutual "respect and partnership" with the middle east. The Iranian Ayatollahs locked up everyone in the U.S. Embassy 30 years ago. We had just survived the OPEC attempt to take over our nation with a gas embargo. Lybia was arrogantly bombing 747 jetliners. There were military coups in Turkey and Pakistan and repression in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Iran was arming Hezbollah and Syria was invading Lebanon. America had some fragile relationships with tyrannical regimes from whom we needed oil, but there was no mutual "respect and partnership" in any of those or anywhere in the middle east.

With this speech Barack Obama proved what everyone who fought against his election predicted. Obama is not an American and has little grasp of history. He is an amateur global liberal who has accomplished little except make fancy speeches about overly naive 'hope' and 'change' as Alinsky defined it. He sees himself as a global ruler who serves a global community. That global community includes the very people who we are at war with. It is not a war we started. Until now though we were determined to win. What does it say to the many parts of their societies that are disparaged and who love George W. Bush for giving them hope of ending the tyrannies that currently govern their nations. Who do they look to now that Obama has signaled America has abandoned them? Our youth have now joined this naive liberal movement and elected a man who is ready to surrender without a fight.

May God have mercy on the people of America, especially the future generations who will pay the price for this mistake.

GOP: Time To Get Things Undone

by Michelle Malkin - January 28th, 2009 - Townhall.com

For the past year, I've chronicled the inevitable lard-up of bipartisan bailouts and stimulus boondoggles -- and the predictable Chicken Little dance in Washington when these massive emergency "fixes" have fallen short. Contrary to the belief that Obama is America's Lightworker who can defy political gravity, H.R. 1, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, guarantees more of the same old borrow-spend-panic-repeat cycle that got us into our current mess in the first place. This is not an investment in America's future. It's an unprecedented mortgaging of America's future -- which is why the bill is forever known in my book as the Generational Theft Act of 2009.

Michelle accurately describes the consequences of this ridiculous return to stimulus economics. Milton Friedman proved with brilliant logic the failures of this economic theory of the left. His denunciations were not based on theory but assessment of actual failure after failure. It will not work this time just because a lot of smart people want it to work. Even the Treasury secretary during the FDR years, Morgenthau, came to realize that everything they did failed, and merely left the country loaded down with debt.

This time will be no different. Even as FDR turned a temporary recession into a decade long depression, Obama is about to commit our nation to another try at socialism. It has never worked before. It will not work now.

My fear is that so many Republicans bought in to the "compassionate conservatism" bilge of Rove-Bush that Republicans themselves do not understand the horrors of socialism.

Great article.

A 40-Year Wish List

by Staff - January 28th, 2009 - Wall Street Journal

"Never let a serious crisis go to waste. What I mean by that is it's an opportunity to do things you couldn't do before."

So said White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel in November, and Democrats in Congress are certainly taking his advice to heart. The 647-page, $825 billion House legislation is being sold as an economic "stimulus," but now that Democrats have finally released the details we understand Rahm's point much better. This is a political wonder that manages to spend money on just about every pent-up Democratic proposal of the last 40 years.

What shocks me is how some so-called Republicans are "shocked" that Obama would agree to something like this. They have fallen hook line and sinker for the illusion that Obama is more "moderate" than they expected. I have been trying ever since the election to get more of them to read the Saul Alinsky methods in "Rules for Radicals".

This is Obama's blueprint. It is what he taught others on the left to use. Alinsky is a campaign of deceit and lies and deception. It is based on the concept of hiding everything that you are doing behind double talk and pretensions that your enemy will not recognize until it is too late, always pretending to work "democratically". In truth the idea is to use democracy to subvert democratic goals.

A perfect example of his techniques is the pretend appointment of Dr. Mark Dybul, the openly gay man who George W. Bush had put in charge of the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). This program is universally recognized as being a success. So Obama made a great show of asking Dr. Dybul to stay on until someone could be found to assure the program's success continued. However there were many Democrats who were critical of Dr. Dybul for daring to work for a Republican administration. To fire him would have looked partisan. So Obama pretended to ask him to stay on, and then fired him the instant that other news guaranteed little coverage of the act.

When a man tells you he will govern with deceit, why are so many libertarians and conservatives surpised when Obama governs with deceit? Are we stupid?

Global Warming Is
Causing Global Cooling

by Matt Drudge - January 26th, 2009 - Drudge Report

"I can't imagine the Democrats would want to showcase Mr. Gore and his new findings on global warming as a winter storm rages outside," a Republican lawmaker emailed the DRUDGE REPORT. "And if the ice really piles up, it will not be safe to travel."

Just as happened last year in New York City when Gore's meeting was held on the coldest day in nearly a century, once again mother nature seems intent on making a mockery of the man is causing global warming charade that Gore and his environmental extremists continue to try and sell. Washington expects a huge ice storm to hit the day Gore is scheduled to testify in front of congress on his continuing insistence global warming is a crisis.

As has been reported in article after article, the premise that CO2 is causing temperatures to go up has been disproved, since temperatures have gone down since 1998. It is now 10 years that temperatures have gone down. All that while CO2 is still going up. This contradicts everything that Gore has been saying. Yet the MSM and the environmental extremists just keep acting like their entire premise has not been proved a fraud. This is the second time their fraud has been debunked. Proving that the hockey stick computer program was a fraud should have been enough.

What will it take before the reality hits these people? We no longer believe their lies!

Climate is variable and nothing that man is doing has any significance to the MINOR warming of the last century or the MINOR cooling we have seen for the last decade. Kyoto is a joke and a fraud, promulgated by global socialists who are using this fraud to get control of our nation's economic levers. Not because global warming is real but just because they want to end free enterprise.

Gore is a joke. The proof is his new argument that the global cooling we are experiencing is caused by global warming. What? Just like the idiocy of CO2, there is no rational argument to support this outlandish claim, just an insistence "You have to believe us. Honest!" I cannot imagine what a disaster this nation would have had if Gore had been in charge on 9/11.

Bush Was a Big-Government Disaster

by Nick Gillespie - January 24th, 2009 - Wall Street Journal

In a way that was inconceivable when he took office, Mr. Bush -- the advance man for the "ownership society," smaller and more trustworthy government, and a humble foreign policy -- increased the size and scope of the federal government to unprecedented levels. At the same time, he constantly flashed signs of secrecy, duplicity, ineffectiveness and outright incompetence.

Think for a moment about the thousands of Transportation Security Administration screeners -- newly minted government employees all -- who continue to confiscate contact-lens solution and nail clippers while, according to nearly every field test, somehow failing to notice simulated bombs in passenger luggage.

Ah yes, how often we forget Bush's Buffoons. Is there any more significant example of the obnoxious power of government goons than these useless bureaucrats? They waste vast hours of effort accomplishing the goal of safety because their role is assumed to be not doable by intelligent use of inspections. Oh no! We can't inspect one person who is possibly an enemy, unless we inspect thousands that no one would believe are possible enemies. 5 kids with their mother are just as likely to be Islamo-fascist terrorists as a 20 year old Arabic looking male acting suspiciously. Really? We have to be STUPID seems to be the government rule.

No matter what he did well, no one can possibly assume that on balance Bush was a President who cared about freedom.

Barack Obama Picks A Fight
With Rush Limbaugh

... As Bipartisan Spirit Crumbles

by Tim Shipman - January 24th, 2009 - London Telegraph

After less than a week in office, Mr Obama's presidency is already encountering the very partisan bickering he had pledged to stamp out during his first 100 days.

He faces mounting criticism over his $825 billion economic stimulus plan, from Republican leaders who say the legislation has been drawn up without the input which Mr Obama had promised to allow them.

The president responded with a clear signal that he is prepared to ram the bill through without the bipartisan consensus he promised to construct, telling Republican leaders from the House of Representatives: "I won. I'm the president."

And the MSM used to complain that Bush was arrogant? Everything that Barack Obama has said about bipartisanship was based on the carefully hidden arrogance that his enemies were wrong and bipartisanship would be accomplished when they "shut up and joined him". That is, and has always been, and will always be, what the Magic Marxist Messiah means when he uses the word bipartisan. Now we are getting to see it in action.

In fact, I think it is an indication of his childishness that he could not let the attack on Rush Limbaugh wait. Calling him a socialist was all it took to get Obama riled up in attack mode since he tries so hard to hide his socialist program. He is a socialist but he refuses to allow anyone to call him a socialist. That is because he is a passionate believer in the Alinsky method of making sure you never acknowledge what your true goals are.

Obama will deny, deny, deny. He also will attack, attack, attack. Limbaugh is not the last person he will go after. How else will he accomplish the bipartisanship he claims he wants other than by destroying those who will not agree with him?

This Means War

by James Taranta - January 23rd, 2009 - Wall Street Journal

Cognitive dissonance anyone? "Promising to return America to the 'moral high ground' in the war on terrorism, President Obama issued three executive orders Thursday to demonstrate a clean break from the Bush administration, including one requiring that the Guantanamo Bay detention facility be closed within a year," CNN reports.

The New York Times actually cautions that that these people really are terrorists on its front page.

The total confusion about what these executive orders means is not good during a time of war. The Magic Marxist Messiah is blithely indifferent to the fact that the war goes on. His executive orders provide no guidance to how to fight the war for the next year as he says that he will not "close" Guantanamo during that time. However all war trials and investigations come to a halt as Obama stops any interrogations using techniques that work.

With no clarity about what type of interrogation techniques are legal, and with Obama operatives and supporters clamoring for criminal trials of those who used the rules legal during the Bush years, our troops are left in a totally bizarre situation. Tomorrow, when they capture someone who knows where enemy troops are hiding and what plans they have to kill us, what do they do?

The actions by the Magic Marxist Messiah are beyond stupidity, they are criminal. Since we are at war, that makes them treason too. I warned people during the campaign that this junior politician, who has never accomplished anything of note in his life except make fancy speeches and allow a ghost written book to be published in his name, IS NOT FIT TO LEAD OUR NATION.

It's Mourning In America

by Michael Reagan - January 23rd, 2009 - Front Page Magazine

Michael Reagan, on comparing Obama's Inaugural speech with his father's famous "morning in America" speech ...

... with Obama it almost went back in tone to Jimmy Carter’s infamous “malaise” speech, which pictured an America down in the dumps.

For Obama it was more like “mourning” in America.

You can hear echoes of that malaise speech in Obama’s inaugural address when he said, “These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a sapping of confidence across our land -- a nagging fear that America's decline is inevitable, and that the next generation must lower its sights.”

The real comparison? That was accurately summed up when Michael said "The difference between the two men was that my dad believed everything he said all the way to the core of his being, while Barack Obama and his fellow Democrats use speeches to mask what they really believe."

Ronald Reagan actually understood what was at the root of America's exceptionalism. Neither Jimmy Carter nor Barack Obama have a clue.

Obama Snubs Nation's Heroes

Becomes the First President to Skip Ball Honoring Medal of Honor Recipients in Over 50 Years [of Ball's existence]

by Julie - January 21st, 2009 - The Cleveland Leader

The Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball was begun in 1953 for President Dwight Eisenhower's inauguration. The event recognized recipients of the Medal of Honor, the nation's highest military award. There were 48 Medal of Honor recipients in attendance, who were undoubtedly disappointed by the Commander-in-Chief's failure to show. Over the past 56 years and 14 inaugurations, no President has skipped this event - until now.

Of course Barack Obama is an anti war pacifist who thinks of himself in global terms, not American terms. Like most blacks he so despises the term American that he insists he is an African-American, not an American. I guess I am surprised at how many people are surprised that he would skip this ball. It should have been obvious to anyone based on his history and his expressed goals that any event honoring Americans would be at the bottom of his priority list.

Reagan Wouldn't Recognize
This GOP

by Mickey Edwards - January 24th, 2009 - Los Angeles Times

In my mind's eye, I can see Ronald Reagan, wearing wings and a Stetson, perched on a cloud and watching all the goings-on down here in his old earthly home. Laughing, rolling his eyes and whacking his forehead over the absurdities he sees, he's watching his old political party as it twists itself into ever more complex knots, punctuated only by pauses to invoke the Gipper's name. It's been said that God would be amazed by what his followers ascribe to him; believe me, Reagan would be similarly amazed by what his most fervent admirers cite in their desire to be seen as true-blue Reaganites.

Great article.

American exceptionalism is based on individual freedom. More and more our government fails to be effective because it makes sure that no one is allowed to do anything without government control and supervision. That is not and never will be effective government.

The greatest evil of what today is called progressivism, or liberalism, the current dominant phisolophy of the Democrat party, is the insistence that it can make the most successful members of society give a free ride to those who can not or will not care for themselves. What used to be called a helping hand, and often was abusive even then, has evolved to a free ride that is primarily abusive. It has made government the nearly sole determinant of who is successful and who fails.

That is why it is evil. We need to resist that. Resisting is different than the goals of the Republican Party today. George Bush and Karl Rove have destroyed the party of Reagan by making the only goal to get elected. Whatever will get you elected is the Republican policy.

And that is sad.

The Antidote To Obama

by Bret Prelutsky - January 23rd, 2009 - Townhall.com

I have written with an air of despondency about the bleak future I see for conservatism in America. For one thing, Obama won the election by capturing the votes of virtually every demographic group imaginable, except for older white guys. And the one thing you can say about us, individually and as a voting bloc is that, alas, we’re not getting any younger.

That relegates us to a useless role for the foreseeable future since it has become clear, no one listens to logic any more. Everything is emotion. Certainly no white male has the right to say anything and is not believed if they do. The article below is an example. I was talking yesterday to a young girl who lives here in Colerain. I mentioned the numbers who watched the inauguration and the fact that Reagan drew more raw numbers, and a MUCH larger audience adjusted for population. Her response was I must be lying. Period. She didn't believe me and when I tried to explain she walked away furious that I would even express an opinion.

The Prelutsky solution is funny ... or sad if you really think about it.

Gipper 1

Obama 0

by Mike Gallagher - January 23rd, 2009 - Townhall.com

After the cultural explosion in America that celebrated this week’s presidential inauguration, could there be any doubt that this would have been the most-watched inaugural ceremony in history?

It wasn’t ...

That honor goes to President Ronald Reagan’s inauguration in 1981 which drew millions more viewers than President Obama’s (41.8 million versus 37.8, according to Nielsen).

When you factor in the increase in population, 303 million in 2009 versus 234 million in 1983, the Magic Marxist Messiah only drew 70% of the audience that Ronald Reagan drew.

I wonder why?

Or if it even matters?

Obama Acts Quickly
To Be Abortion President

Obama to Lift Ban on Funding for Groups Providing Abortions Overseas

by Major Garrett - January 21st, 2009 - Fox News

President Obama will issue an executive order on Thursday reversing the Bush administration policy that bans the use of federal dollars by non-govermental organizations that discuss or provide abortions outside of the United States.

The man who is the strongest supporter of partial birth abortion, the man who claims he would not want his daughters "punished" with a child, has once again turned on the spigot for dispersal of federal dollars to abortion promoters and providers, on his very first day in office.

Barack H. Obama is not just in favor of abortions under all conditions. He also opposed the Born Alive Protection Act. This bill was intended to stop the current practice of where a baby tough enough to survive an abortion was left to die. Current practice is that if it was intended that the baby die, that it is essentially murdered by with-holding medical treatment even when it survives the abortion operation.

Anyone would think that Obama desires to be the President of Death.

Update 1/22/09 - With all of the furor over the expected act to get rid of the Bush executive order banning abortion by groups getting tax payer dollars, Obama's team has delayed acting on this campaign promise.

Climate Confusion

by Steven Milloy - January 21st, 2009 - Front Page Magazine

... we’re in crushing jaws of global warming regulation thanks to big business ...

This is one more example of the tyranny of Wall Street when it abandons free markets and instead colludes with government to create government generated profits. I repeatedly argue that Republicans need to separate themselves from Wall Street and recognize that business and free markets are NOT synonymous.

Wall Street is as much our enemy as big government. Both are antithetical to freedom.

Obama Administration Moves
To Halt Guantanamo Trials

by Staff - January 20th, 2009 - Associated Press

Military judges on Wednesday will consider motions by the Obama administration to suspend the Guantanamo war crimes trials for 120 days during a review of the system for prosecuting suspected terrorists.

Barack H. Obama has shown the world what his priorities are. The very first step in his Presidency has been to reject treating the Islamo-fascist killers of our citizens and our soldiers as enemies, and to start the process of extending Constitutional rights to these killers.

Just as during the Clinton Presidency, Obama is determined that our soldiers will be considered the enemy and our enemy shall be considered to have all the rights of a citizen. Our soldiers will not be permitted to kill someone just because they are shooting at us. They must go on the field of battle carefully documenting every action so they can prove anyone they shoot or capture is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

No one who has any experience with war could possibly think that this is anything but insane. I am not surprised that the draft dodging Clinton would be joined by the barely American Obama in his love for our enemy. It shows a corresponding hatred for our troops that is beyond question.

U.S. Stocks Slide In Dow Average’s
Worst Inauguration Day Drop

by Elizabeth Stanton - January 20th, 2009 - Bloomberg News

Barack Obama became the 44th U.S. president today, inheriting the most severe economic crisis since Franklin D. Roosevelt was sworn in 76 years ago. The turmoil has dragged the world’s largest economies into recession, caused more than $1 trillion of losses at financial institutions and prompted a sell-off in global stock markets.

Treasuries fell for a second day on speculation Obama will sell record amounts of debt to battle the recession.

This is not happening because George W. Bush is President. This is happening because Barack H. Obama is President. Our youth, our radicals and our socialists may be impressed with Barack H. Obama. Investor's are not.

It is true that Bush responded with a very weak plan last year when the banking crisis started showing. It is even true that Bush helped to create the crisis with his profligate spending and his nearly doubling of the national debt during his eight years. On the other hand he did try and stop the housing bubble by opposing a continuation of the Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac idiocy. However Bush failed to end the CRA rules that force banks to make bad loans, failed to end Sarbanes Oxley's "mark to market" write downs and failed to address the insider trading "derivatives" insanity with its related "securitized mortgage bundling". None of these causes were created by Bush. He can only be blamed for trying to patch the consequences rather than fix the causes. That has proven inadequate to stop the bleeding.

The reality is that Bush also cannot be blamed for the world banking crisis that contributed to the problem here in America. Other nations have mismanaged this WORLD crisis as well, and the global contributions to this crisis have been ignored by Obama and his minions, just as they ignore Clinton's grand experiment to end the rules separating banking, insurance and securities (that were passed during the great depression when it became clear that rampant speculation helped to bring down our economy - then as now). This too is a major contributor to the crisis that no Democrat will accept accountability for because it happened on Clinton's watch. Without that misguided change the derivatives insanity would not have gained so much traction.

The answer is to fix the problems, not blithely continue borrowing money and spending money as if our children will not have to pay the price. Investor's know that. The huge drop in the market is a reaction to Obama's insane plans. It is obvious nothing will get his attention because he is ignorant of what makes our free market economy work. It is also obvious that like Hoover, Bush will be the pinata for the press for years to come. Bush will be blamed, not for what he did, but for everything that happens. The MSM will never blame Obama.

In a related frustration, Republicans who opposed Bush on many of these same issues will be blamed by the press as well. Bush, just by being Republican and letting these things fester on his watch, has destroyed the Republican brand.

President Bush Mocked, Jeered, Booed

Many of Barack Obama's supporters, including his Chief of Staff, showed how little class they have during the inauguration. Obama does not ever indicate disapproval of these childish acts, so it is obvious their hatred is okay with him. I can only assume this is a part of Obama's strtegy to unite everyone, a constantly repeated promise of his campaign. It should be noted Obama has made a huge number of appointments of extreme environmentalists, socialists and leftists to important and powerful positions. Again I can only assume these are intended to "unite" us.

Rahm Emanuel - showing typical class of an Obama supporter

Since many of Obama's appointments have been to positions that don't require Senatorial approval, their extreme positions are not coming up for discussion on the news. This is leaving people with a misleading impression of Obama moderation, which even some gullible Republicans are claiming they see. That is not going to be the way the Magic Marxist Messiah will govern. I guarantee.

Al-Qaeda's Plague Backfires

by Alex West - January 20th, 2009 - The London Sun

The Sun revealed yesterday that Black Death, also called the Plague, killed at least 40 fanatics at a terror training camp in Algeria earlier this month ...

The al-Qaeda cell wiped out by Black Death may have infected ITSELF while developing biological weapons, it emerged last night.

The terrorists planned to wreak havoc on Western targets but fell victims to their own weapon, a leading expert on chemical warfare believes.

We were lucky this time. However it is not always going to be our turn for luck. Someone noted before that we have to be perfect or lucky in our defenses EVERY time but the Islamo-fascists simply need to get lucky ONE time for us to suffer a defeat that will keep them going for years. 9/11 is still a joyous occasion for these groups.

Bush's Legacy:
Conservatives Were Betrayed

Editorial - January 19th, 2009 - NewsMax

The best that can be said of President Bush is that he kept America’s homeland safe. During his watch, we did not experience another terror attack on U.S. soil after Sept. 11.

It is a laudable fact, but one that came at enormous financial cost and an erosion of personal freedoms. Still, for all the talk about al-Qaida’s weakened state, Osama bin Laden remains at large despite Bush’s pledge to capture him “dead or alive.”

And if a major terror attack were to take place under the new Obama administration, his supporters will be quick to pin the blame on the Bush regime.

The blame will stick too, since the overwhelming majority of the press will hammer this accusation endlessly.

The unintended consequences of Bush actions will be felt forever. George W. Bush has been the primary cause of turning America into a socialist tyranny. Bush did this by destroying the reputation of the Republican Party. He also leaves Republicans torn apart and warring over the party's philosophical direction by his impostor stance as a conservative.

Even last night, I was sickened by the number of people who were willing to laud Bush for commuting the sentences of Ramos and Campeon rather than pardoning them. Bush still does not understand that this was a political prosecution. Bush is proud of the fact that he has never seen the attacks against conservatives and conservative principals as "personal". I just wish a few more Republicans were conservative enough to be offended by this. Then maybe it would be more obvious that Bush never was conservative. He didn't take the attacks personally because he didn't care if our nation became a socialist tyranny. He did not care if Democrats lied about other conservatives because he was never one himself.

Bush has betrayed almost everyone who ever supported him, and betrayed our country in the process.

Gas Prices To Surge
After Pelosi Legislation

- Get ready to pay more!

by Carter Clews - January 19th, 2009 - Get Liberty

Even though the drop in gas prices was predicted by everyone who believes in free markets, and rejected as not possible by all of the liberal government mandate extremists, the current reaction is really fun to watch. In this article Carter includes several examples of those who insisted that ending the drilling ban would have no effect on lowering prices. Prices went down as soon as the drilling bans were lifted They are now explaining why they were not wrong. The article then goes on:

All of which reminds me of one of my favorite Ronald Reagan squelches. It came some two to three years into his first administration, when it had become clear to all by the Hard Left media elite and their political co-conspirators that Reaganomics had, indeed, worked to near perfection. Asked by one of those in attendance at an informal briefing how he felt about his critics continued caviling, the President smiled and responded, “Well, at least now they have to admit that it works in practice – even though they still insist it won’t work in theory.”

That is priceless. It also explains why any bipartisanship in Washington will always be Republicans caving to Democrats. A Republican would be embarrassed and humiliated to be publicly exposed as being that wrong. Democrats have no shame as noted above by the fact that they still plan to end drilling anyway. When the price goes back up they will once again insist that it has nothing to do with their policies, it is those evil oil companies and their speculators.

Fight Not Over
Because Obama Reaches Top

by Eliott C. McLaughlin - January 19th, 2009 - CNN

... Kee-Shawn Smith, 19, a sophomore at the historically black Clark Atlanta University ... said King and Obama have "set the way" for African-Americans ...

"America gives you that one thing -- opportunity," she said. "A lot of African-Americans have to realize we have the same opportunities as any other race, any other culture ... People should take strides to do better than [Obama]."

Neither Obama's election nor the King holiday represent that "we just want African-Americans to have this. It's more a global perspective," said Jeffrey Harrell, 20, a junior at Morehouse College, another historically black school. "It's about everybody."

Today, there are still immigrants and women fighting for rights, there are people who are hungry and others without homes, Harrell said.

"Until everyone is able to take part in what's called the American dream, the struggle's not done," he said.

An amazing article but it is interpreted totally different by most blacks than by most whites. It reminds me of the incredible response to the O.J. Simpson trial, the first one.

There was a black man out in the street in front of the court in L.A.who was approached by a news crew. They asked him how he felt about the verdict. His answer was an enlightenment for every white who heard blacks claim they thought Simpson was "not guilty". "How do you honkeys like it when one of ours gets off?" he responded. Blacks don't doubt that Simpson killed two people. Blacks don't care that Simpson killed two people. After all, they were only honkeys. Simpson getting off was justice not because he was innocent but because he was getting back at white society.

Polls since that time have consistently said that 90% of blacks proclaim Simpson "not guilty" while 90% of whites think him "guilty". This disconnect is an example of racism but it is not white racism. It is a vitriolic black racism that gets worse every year.

The idea that nothing has been accomplished by the election of Obama is not surprising. 90% of Blacks hate America so much that they will not even tolerate being called American. They demand the hyphenated description of African-American to maintain their segregation from this land.

I asked a black acquaintance here in the Inner Banks about the comment above by Kee-Shawn Smith expressing the thought that blacks have equal opportunity. He said that was "Nonsense. Until every black has the same riches as every white, equality is just a joke." To most blacks equal opportunity is not enough. Equal results is the only solution that will satisfy them. That is why I am not surprised that 97% of blacks voted for Obama. Obama believes in socialism and reparations by all whites to all blacks. So does almost every black in America. Many believe every single white person is responsible for every single crime that every single black person has ever experienced in the entire course of human history.

If anything Obama's election will not signal an improvement in race relations. The point of this article proves that. They expect more to be given them from a culture they see as having wronged them. As a result, it could signal the start of an even more vitriolic hatred of honkeys, or whitey, than already has been the norm for 400 years now.

A Great Nation Rises
In The Worst Of Times

by Michael Graham - January 18th, 2009 - Boston Herald

Looking for this week’s classic American tale? Forget the rise of Barack Obama. It’s the fall of Flight 1549.

There, lined up on the wings of a sinking plane like kids patiently waiting for the school bus, was the real America.

Not to name any names, but there are those who believe American society is broken, that our national soul needs healing, that our citizens lack the character to even set our own thermostats. But I believe that the nation this unnamed person will be sworn in to govern on Tuesday is a much better place than many of his supporters (not to mention family members) believe.

The test of a great life is not the character of the country a person lives in. It is the character of the individual and their ability to cope with the challenges that life sends their way.

During the horror of the last century, when totalitarian states ruled Europe, there were people who did the right thing. They were not Americans but most Americans were proud to stand with them. The question is not whether there are still Americans of courage who do what is needed under crisis. The question is why are they no longer a majority?

Holding that question for another day, I agree we should honor Sully Sullenberger and the many other heroes that stood tall in crisis. They are the people who make a nation great. God bless them.

The Answer Is Freedom

by - January 18th, 2009 - Washington Times

In times of uncertainty, it's natural that people will look to government for answers. Yet the long-term solutions to our current economic problems don't lie in more government spending, controls or regulations.

Consider Japan. Facing a deep recession, the Japanese implemented 10 separate spending stimulus packages between 1992 and 2000. Spending on public infrastructure was a major part of each one. Yet the Japanese economy refused to cooperate. After eight years of "stimulus" Japan's economic growth was anemic. The Japanese economy grew only 0.6 percent annually between 1992 and 2007. During that time, eight countries surpassed Japan's per capita income.

So much for infrastructure stimulus.

The answer is freedom! What a great concept. Have Americans forgotten this? Have Americans given up on freedom? Everyone keeps saying that the choice of socialism by voters in our recent election is because people are frightened. That it is natural for them to seek the security of government. What are they frightened of? Do they really think that we are facing tough times? Well maybe it is natural for some to seek government tyranny because they are frightened, but not all.

At least one of the things I find annoying is when liberal Americans who are themselves too gutless to fight the Islamo-fascists insist the VOLUNTEERS who are winning the war on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan should be brought home. This is not because the VOLUNTEERS are afraid, but because the people who are themselves too gutless to fight are told by DEMOCRATS that the draft should be reinstated. The fear of the liberal pacifists is so great that they will not even allow others to defend them if there is a risk they may be asked to fight as well. Appeasement and cowering here at home is the ONLY strategy they will accept.

On economics they have a similar attitude. They are scared to invest in the future because of the fear they might lose their money, so they do not want to allow others to take an investment risk either. They insist that it has to be done by government with GUARANTEED returns. If you succeed privately they want you taxed for ALL your profits to make sure you do not embarrass them and expose their fear.

All Americans are not like this. If they were, America itself would never have come to exist. The reality is that we once loved the attitude of people like Patrick Henry, "Give me liberty or give me death".

Many still feel the same.

New President, Same Old
Snake-Oil Economics

by Gerald Warner - January 18th, 2009 - Scotland on Sunday

... Obama promises more than three million new jobs. Unfortunately, some clever clogs in Congress with a ball-point and the back of an envelope spotted that meant a cost of $275,000 per job. Governments cannot create jobs. All they can do is invent camouflaged welfare programmes. Only the market can create jobs; and massive "job" creation in the public sector destroys real employment.

To implement a programme so alien to the instincts of Americans, Obama needs a supportive mythology. He has found it in the myth of Franklin D Roosevelt's New Deal. That massive interventionist programme actually delayed recovery from the 1930s depression. During 1930-40, the US economy would have been expected to grow 30%-40%. Instead, it languished: net private investment totalled [minus] $3.1 [billion].

Not only was FDRs program called fascist at the time by those who were experts in fascism, the new deal destroyed our nation for a decade. It would have destroyed our nation for generations had World War II not given our nation the chance to unleash our economic powers building the machinery to defeat the Axis. How can anyone who has followed history not accept that such an abysmal record for the "New Deal" cannot continue to be blithely accepted as having been successful. The first New Deal was a disaster for our nation. Obama's New New Deal will be even worse.

Israel Declares Cease-Fire

by Steven Erlanger - January 17th, 2009 - The New York Times

After 22 days of war against Hamas, and the deaths of more than 1,200 Palestinians and 13 Israelis, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert insisted that “we have reached all the goals of the war, and beyond.”

The insistence by many that Israel did not accomplish a victory is belied by one calculation. Hamas' losses are the equivalent of America losing 325,000 of its citizens in a couple of weeks of war. Can you imagine the thundering outrage of Democrats at those losses when you see their quivering denuciation of the war against Islamo-fascism having lost less than 8,000 (including the 3,000 on 9/11) during 7 years of war?

Of course the reality is that liberals are only able to LOSE wars.

A Checklist Of
Obama's Many Promises

Editorial - November 10th, 2008 - Investor's Business Daily

Few presidential candidates have made more specific promises to American voters than Barack Obama. They came so fast and furious in the latter part of the campaign, you'd be excused for not keeping up. So as a public service, we've put together a handy checklist of some of the biggest Obama promises — culled from his "Blueprint for Change," his campaign speeches and advertisements. Clip it. Save it. And see how he did in four years.

Obama Rides Rails To DC

by Jennifer Loven and Nancy Benac

Riding a vintage railcar on his whistle-stop trip to Washington, Obama carried with him the hopes of a nation weary of war, frightened of economic chaos and searching for better days. Vice President-elect Joe Biden joined the journey en route, from his home in Delaware, and spoke for many when he said he was excited and ready for Tuesday.

I am personally delighted with the symbolism of Obama's trip to Washington. Obama plans that you give up your car and ride the rails for all your travel! I believe it stands as the perfect symbol that Obama was never about changing to a better future. Obama was always about changing back to the poverty of an earlier age. His socialist economic program will drag the age of jet travel back to the age of train travel. His program will also drag our standard of living back to an earlier time as well. It is a time before cars were our standard way of getting around.

Obama has already started talking about the shared "sacrifice" he expects Americans to make, since he knows the consequences of his plans will not help people get ahead. As he noted when one of his tax proposals was pointed out to ALWAYS have negative consequences for taxes collected, he blithely dismissed that with the rejoinder that he was okay with that since it would be more FAIR. Typical answer of a Marxist tyrant. It is also a joke. Do liberals really think that flowery langauge can hide their retarded agenda?

Obama's train is a great symbol of his backward looking socialist agenda. Socialism has always created poverty in every nation in which it has been tried. That is the change Obama has been promising. His adoring followers are about to see what change really means.

How Crypto-Marxism Won The Cold War

by James Lewis - May 23, 2008 - American Thinker

"Crypto Marxism" --- crypto meaning "hidden" --- is a useful word to describe what's happened in the last twenty years. Because as soon as the Soviet Union crumbled, a host of barely disguised post-Marxist ideologies grabbed the microphones: the Green Movement, now furiously peddling global warming fraud; Third Way socialism in Europe, trying to hitch the welfare wagon to free markets; the European Union, a new autocracy of unelected committees, exactly what the USSR used to call "workers' Soviets"; the unbelievably corrupt, bigoted and self-serving United Nations; and all over the academic world, an explosion of anti-Western and anti-democratic fads like Post-Modernism, Multi-Culturalism, Deconstructionism, Feminism, anti-Zionism, Black Liberation Theology and other repackaged Marx imitations. It was a triumph of image-making and marketing.

Today, crypto-Marxism dominates our political discourse.

What is bizarre is that even fairly rational thinkers like Fred Barnes will not accept that Barack Obama is a Marxist. He just wrote an article today titled The only thing we have to fear ... is Obama, where he denies Obama is a crypto-Marxist. He even stretches credibility with the claim that Obama has managed his transition as a "centrist". It seems to me that Fred is damaging his own case that we should be fearful of where Obama stands when he denies what is obvious to all who have studied what Obama actually says.

Like Michael Steele, another Republican who gives Obama the benefit of ALL doubt, Fred is ignoring the Saul Alinsky background. Obama taught the need for socialists to hide their true intentions and be deceitful. Does Fred not pay attention at all to what Obama has clearly practiced all of his life?

Leave The New Deal
In The History Books

by Mark Levey - January 17th, 2009 - The Wall Street Journal

After four years of FDR's policies, joblessness declined to 14.3% -- still very high but heading in the right direction. Then things turned for worse again: By the fall of 1937, the U.S. entered a secondary depression and unemployment began to rise, reaching 19% in 1938.

By 1939 Roosevelt's own Treasury secretary, Henry Morgenthau, had realized that the New Deal economic policies had failed. "We have tried spending money," Morgenthau wrote in his diary. "We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. . . . After eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started. . . . And an enormous debt to boot!"

The love of government power is the root of the worst evil that man can create. Despite all of the evidence that FDR's fascist based programs were a total failure, lovers of government still adore the man. It reminds me of the incredible situation in Russia where it was recently discovered that the most loved prior ruler in Russia is Stalin. His murder of millions of Russians, some estimate more than twenty million, is simply ignored.

The same attitude exists here in America about FDR. Even Ronald Reagan expressed enthusiasm for FDR. Certainly you can find nothing that indicates Obama has any problem with the insane damage done to our economy by FDR. As noted in this article, even despite FDR policies the economy tried to recover, only to be driven down even more by the consequences of FDR programs.

Economics is a complex study. However there has to be someone on the liberal side of the political landscape willing to concede that America always came out of recessions quickly before FDR. What do the liberals think really happened to make the great depression different? The only thing different was FDR's use of socialism and fascism as the guide to his governing practices.

America was a great nation when we believed in personal liberty and individual freedom based on free markets. The more we have abandoned these principals, the greater the struggle to keep our nation prosperous.

Even Republicans have abandoned the belief in free markets, which require competition to serve the people. Republicans have become believers in the Wall Street model of big corporations with mergers and acquisitions to eliminate competition and maximize profits, thus allowing corporate socialism to dominate our nation.

Neither the government socialism of Democrats nor the corporate socialism of Republicans serve the American people. We need to get back to free markets and free people, or the American dream is finished.

The Bush Economy

Editorial - January 17th, 2009 - The Wall Street Journal

Mr. Bush has tried to explain events with one of his populist aphorisms: "Wall Street got drunk and we got a hangover." The remark is ruefully amusing and has an element of truth. But it also reveals how little the President comprehends about the source of his Administration's economic undoing. To extend his metaphor, Who does Mr. Bush think was serving the liquor?

The reality is that few in business truly understand the economy. There is a lot of difference between the skills necessary to run a business and the skills necessary to keep our economy on course. The additional problem is that even our government experts often use metaphors and analogies, which though incredibly complex, still do not really explain reality either. They work for some period in time, but then the true complexity changes slightly and they stop working. Just look at Keynes and the disasters that he ultimately caused.

This decade is also an example. Alan Greenspan and his disciples, Ben Bernanke and Donald Kohn, using techniques that worked well in earlier decades, mis-managed our monetary policy to keep the good times going during the last of the Bush years until the bubble burst. By the time it had burst, it was too late to apply any step by government to fix the problem. However Bush and Paulson tried. They just tried the very worst solution possible.

If we learned any lesson during the great depression, it was that government efforts to fix the problem simply exacerbate the pain. That is what we are doing right now. We are once again taking a recession and turning it in to a depression. We are even doing it with the same misguided and failed techniques that the fascist FDR used; government programs.

Obama is going to spend a fortune hiring government employees to make people create a "green" economy. It will work no better than all of FDRs workfare programs. At the end, government will be bigger, more intrusive, and more fixated than ever on finding scapegoats that they can blame. The rich, white and Christians in our midst are about to become the fall guy for the socialist failures.

George Bush started us down this socialist nightmare road because he was so ignorant of anything about America's business community and America's form of government. His solution was big government bailouts, just like FDR. As this article notes, he still does not understand what he did.

The Coming Green Tsunami

by Nancy Morgan - January 16th, 2009 - Canada Free Press

Despite the record-breaking extreme cold that is freezing the Midwest and dropping temperatures close to 50 below in spots, the incoming Obama administration continues to appoint, enlist and enable global warming warriors in the highest echelons of government.

I cannot understand people like Michael Steele who smile and express appreciation for some of the Barack Obama appointments, just because they are not ALL committed socialists. Do they not understand that Barack Obama is the master of duplicity and deceit? He taught those principals whenever he taught the Saul Alinsky method of destroying America and free enterprise. Obama is smart enough to know that he has to hide his real intentions. He writes about hiding his intentions and talks about hiding his intentions and has for years. Therefore anyone who has followed his career should have figured out by now that duplicity and misdirection is intended. So why is the obvious plan to use "global warming" as the technique by which he takes control of our economy so hard for Republican leadership like Michael Steele to understand? Hello Michael? Are you an idiot? What will it take for you to wise up?

Media Forgets That
Wall Street Rip Off Artist
Is BIG Democrat Donor

by Warner Todd Huston - December 15th, 2008 - Business & Media Institute

Very few media stories of the fraud perpetrated by former Nasdaq chairman Madoff mentions the heavy financial support that Madoff has donated to the Democrat Party. Campaign contributions by Madoff show many thousands of dollars going to Democrat candidates and causes. Including $100,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign, thousands to Charles Rangel (D, NY), Charles Schumer (D, NY), and $6,000 to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. Madoff also gave generously to Senator Frank Lautenberg (D, NJ) who runs a charitable foundation that invested with Madoff.

With the money that Madoff spread around in contributions is it really surprising that his actions went ignored by regulatory agencies?

In any case, the media seems wholly uninterested in the fact that Madoff is a big Democrat contributor.

Once again the MSM shows its hypocrisy and bias. In reality, many of the MSM are trying to imply what they know is a lie, that Madoff is a Republican. He is actually a Democrat, but that does not fit the popular vision of corporate evil, so you never see any mention of the liberal Democrat bias of this man.

UPDATE

Due to the fact that not a single newspaper, TV or radio mention of this criminal touches on his party affiliation, as well as because he was such a huge supporter of the liberal Democrats, and most especcially since if he was a Republican it would have been screamed from the rooftops, I am reposting this article to remind people ... BERNIE MADOFF IS A DEMOCRAT!

Beware Of The
Big-Government Tipping Point

by Peter Wehner and Paul Ryan - January 16th, 2009 - The Wall Street Journal (Opinion Journal)

For most of our nation's history, our approach to economics has favored enterprise, self-reliance and the free market. While the American economy has never been entirely laissez-faire, we have historically cared more about equality of opportunity than equality of results. And while Americans have embraced elements of the New Deal, the Great Society and progressive taxation, we have traditionally viewed welfare as a way to help those in dire need, not as a way of life for the middle class. We have grasped, perhaps more than any other nation, that there is a long-run cost to dependency on the state, including an aversion to risk that eventually enervates the entrepreneurial spirit necessary for innovation and prosperity.

This outlook, once assumed, is now under attack ...

This is an interesting article, and I thought when I first started reading it that I had found someone else who saw the towering problems of our nation as I did. Then the writers started to argue for how, through "efficient" government, they could design an alteration of the medical "industry" that would provide low cost health care, without fixing the corrupt court system that is the ultimate core issue. No tough choices are needed to be made. People don't need to stand up and take responsibility for their own problems. We just need to be more efficient in how we take freedom away from people. Sheesh.

It turns out that even though they see the reality of how close we are to a socialist tyranny, they are no more concerned with freedom than so many of the other brilliant MBA types who think you can have individual freedom and government control at the same time. You just have to give THEM control to force their brilliant solutions on the rest of the country. In truth, they are no different than Karl Rove and George W. Bush. They are too impressed with themselves.

One real problem no one ever wants to concede is that too few people among our youth of today have any clue about history. They have not read and certainly do not understand the two most important books written about politics and the history of socialism; Frederich Hayek's "The Road to Serfdom" and Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged".

America today is at war. We are under attack from Islamo-fascism, Aztlantism and Global Socialism. Many of the leaders of this last war, global socialism, are U.S. Citizens, hypothetically Americans, yet they reject free markets as a key to American success. They think that implementing socialism will allow us to share our great wealth more "fairly", whatever that means. They do not believe, and cannot be convinced, that free markets are the REASON for our wealth. They do not believe, and cannot be convinced, that ending free markets will end our wealth advantage over the rest of the world.

Unless and until conservatives wake up and agree that this is war and we are willing to fight it like war, the war is already lost.

Obama's Billionaires

by Claire Obusan - January 15th, 2009 - Forbes

Ever since he ran for the Senate in 2004, Barack Obama has had a wealth of 10-figure tycoons advising -- and funding -- him.

Socialism has always been an attractive option for the super rich. That is why the Kennedys and so many other elite super rich families always have been Democrats. Communism is not their idea since that form of government always takes away the money of the super rich. Socialism though, can usually be presuaded to only tax INCOME, not assets. That means those who already have money are delighted to back a system of government that only taxes the newly rich, those who are earning their wealth. That eliminates the competition.

The Republican Party has not noticed at all that corporate executives have also joined in on this bias. Wall Street sees corporations as an element in the super rich. Therefore the people who run the big corporations are just as happy with socialism as the super rich. Government can easily be convinced that they should go after the small and middle sized businesses that are the biggest threat to an existing corporation, leaving the big corporations with no competition. The practice of socialism in protecting the existing corporations against the "creative destruction" of free markets is not new.

The man who originally popularized this reality, Joseph Shumpeter, would recognize the dynamic within the politics of our free market state. Unfortunately, too many Republicans have failed to see what is happening. Big corporations and the super rich have become the enemies of individual freedom which is based on fair competition. Why anyone is surprised that both have flocked to the Obama Presidency is the real surprise.

In fact, George W. Bush and Karl Rove are actually proponents of the same concept, big government and big business working together. However it is just as much socialism when Republicans promote big government domination as it is when Democrats practice big government domination.

Europe's View Of America

I am amused by the illusion that has been fostered by Democrats that Europe will love us now that Barack Obama is about to become our President.

Two articles that came out today, prove that in reality, nothing that America does will be popular. The premise of loving Obama is an illusion. Barack Obama is about to become the focus of all complaints about America. The reason is simple. Europe needs America to be a successful free market nation so they can export their products from their socialized industries based on variable costs alone. Without that ability, their nations cannot compete and cannot survive. However they still hate us, even though they need us. It is that dichotomy that so frustrates their intellecutal leadership and drives their hatred.

Getting back to those two articles, here are the links:

Obama will destroy America with debt by Mary Ellen Synon in the Daily Mail

I have seen your future, America, and it doesn’t work by James Delingpole in the London Spectator

They are not complementary at all. Barack Obama is not even President yet and Europe is already attacking him. I am really interested in how all the Democrats who said the vitriol from Europe was all George W. Bush's fault are going to explain this!
